Privacy
Who is responsible. The two people who keep this guide are responsible for it. Reach them through the contact page.
What the form collects. The contact form asks for a name, an email address, a subject and a message. We use them to answer you and for nothing else. The legal basis is your consent, given by ticking the box, and our legitimate interest in replying to correspondence about our own work.
How long we keep it. Messages are kept while a matter is open and then deleted, and correspondence about a published correction is kept for as long as the entry stands, as a record of why it was changed.
Server logs. Our host records the usual technical data when a page is served: an address, a time, a page and a browser string. These logs exist to keep the site running and secure and are held for a short period on the basis of our legitimate interest.
No analytics. We run no analytics, no advertising and no third-party cookies. Nothing on this site profiles you or follows you elsewhere. The only script we serve is the one that opens and closes the menu on a small screen, and it stores nothing.
Fonts. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, and your browser contacts that service to fetch them.
Hosting and transfers. The site is served by a hosting provider on our behalf under a data processing agreement. Where data reaches a country outside the European Economic Area, it is transferred under the safeguards the law provides.
Your rights. You may ask for access to your data, for correction, for erasure, for restriction, for portability, and you may object to processing or withdraw consent at any time. Write through the contact page.
Complaints. You may complain to your national data protection authority if you believe we have handled your data wrongly.
